Michael Quinney

Spring Creek would like to congratulate Michael Quinney, our store partner in Bedford, TX, better known by his nickname “Q”, who is our first “Featured Manager” on the new website. Q began with Spring Creek in 2007, and has spent time in several stores.

Q spent his early years in Oklahoma, both Tulsa and Edmond, before moving to Carrollton, TX with his family, where he finished High School as a Newman Smith Trojan. Q credits both of his parents for instilling in him the values and traits he uses every day; his father, Michael J Quinney, for teaching him what it meant to work hard and provide for his family, and his mother, Valerie Blades-Quinney, the biggest influence on his life, with instilling in him his faith, his loyalty, and his passion to be a leader. Growing up, Mike found his passion for music and fine arts at an early age, and carried these interests with him as he grew up. He has had some of his pieces featured at shows and events over the years, and continues to pursue his musical and artistic interests in his free time.

His Mother helped encourage him to enter the restaurant business, where he got his first job with Cici’s Pizza when he was 15 years old. After spending about a year at Cici’s, and then another year at Boston Market, Q was recruited by a friend and fellow employee, Jason Moore, to move over to Taco Bell, where he spent 7 years working hard and earning respect from the company and his co-workers.

Q joined the Spring Creek Barbeque team at the store in Lewisville, TX, and eventually moved into his Store Partner Role in Bedford in 2014. When asked about Mike, Bryan Hargrove, Director of Operations for Spring Creek Barbeque, said “Mike is a hands on motivator and coach, working side by side with his staff and encouraging them to maintain a great work ethic and be helpful to their guests. One of Mike’s best qualities is his positive attitude. He is always smiling, even when he is having an off day, and this sets a wonderful example for his staff, and translates into high energy shifts. Over his years with Spring Creek, not many Store Partners have received as many complimentary notes and emails as Q. He is passionate about what he does and it does not go unnoticed.”
