I started working at Spring Creek Barbeque as a senior at Burleson High School on August 22 after my sister told me to fill out an application. After nearly two years on July 1, 2014, I completed my training and took position as an Associate Manager. Ever since I started my position at Spring Creek I have become a more confident and outgoing person in life, and especially at work. It has taught me how to take care of guests, how to work with different types of people, and other various life skills that I will take with me wherever I go.

Currently I am studying at the University of Texas at Arlington to get a degree in Business Management. Working at Spring Creek has taught me how to motivate and be a more confident leader. In early 2015, I was selected to be a “Coach” in a company wide training program in which we visited each Spring Creek location and performed group trainings to better ourselves for our guests. The training program was a great experience to be a part of; It made me come out of my comfort zone, teach people I’ve never met, and get over my fear of public speaking.  After being in the training program in October of 2015 I was named a “Spring Creek All Star” which has been one of my goals for a very, very long time.

Ever since I began working, there have been three people who I look up to and have a great respect for. Those three people are my two managers Mark and Craig, and our area manager Keith. I’ve known all three of these men since my first shift at Spring Creek and they have thought me almost everything I know. They have always been there for me when I have a question or a problem, they are always there to pick me up when I’m feeling down, they give me advice, words of encouragement, and they tell me ways that I can better myself as an employee.

Spring Creek has been my first and only job, and I absolutely love it. I love the people that I have had the chance to work with, all the guests that have come into my life, and the people I have gotten the pleasure of meeting throughout the company. I wouldn’t trade the experience that I have received working here for any other.
